The finger stitch (Yubisaki Ate) is one of the most effective atemi techniques and aimed primarily against vital points and soft tissues, such as the larynx, eyes or other Kyusho points. Fingers form with the hand a flat surface and need to be stretched. A very strong tension in the hand and fingers is necessary to avoid injury to the finger joints at the strike. The technique is performed having a straight movement to the target. There are several variations:
