UKE is on the ground on his back, TORI is sitting with, the face oriented toward UKE, on UKE’s abdomen. Tori places his hands flat stacked on UKE's neck. TORI's forearms have close contact with UKE's lateral face area; directly on or below the ears of the UKE.
Tori sits, well balanced and stable slightly above Ukes stomach; approximately between the stomach and the hub end of the sternum, his left leg kneeling on the floor, next to UKE's right side. His right leg is raised and slightly pushed forward so TORI's right foot can block the left arm of the UKE. Now TORI performs a double movement with the arms. He pulls UKE's neck upward while rotating the head of UKE to the direction of his right, comprising leg, the neck of UKE is the pivot point.
COMMENT: In this neck lever technique the positioning of the hands is an essential point for the success of the technique. TORI's wrists are both bent and almost forming a right angle. The two simultaneous movements, dragging upwards as well as the counterclockwise rotation of UKE's head will be carried out with the help of the entire upper body.
