Te kubi garami - Hand side lever

Effect:

Static execution:
Tilt the little finger side of the hand to the ulnar side of the forearm

Comment:
The hand side lever is a lever which affects the wrist. To achieve appropriate success, it is mandatory to ensure that:

  1. the hand is held sideways (with the little finger up).
  2. the wrist is straight, not bent in the direction of the forearm.
  3. the hand is pressed by the left and right side that it remains flat.
  4. the hand is bent and not the fingers are bent to the forearm.

It is also important to ensure that the own thumb is not located between the thumb and forefinger of the aggressor. Here would be a loosening of the grip by a thumb lever possible.

When executed, the joint of the aggressor is "opened" by pulling, This enhances the leverage by a multiple. If the aggressor bend his arm at the elbow, it is anatomically natural that the wrist bends as well. An appropriate correction is to be made by the defender.
