Wrist
[Nervus medianus]
Anatomy:
- The wrist is referred to the composite of several sub joints [Articulatio composita] at the hand. The median nerve [Nervus medianus] runs from the armpit on the inside of the upper arm and then draws under the Musculus pronator teres to the palm side of the forearm. The median nerve provides motor innervation, the majority of the flexor muscles of the forearm. It is also responsible for the transmission of sensitive stimulation of the palm from the thumb to the inside of the ring finger. It is very superficial above the hand.
Attack:
- Pressure with thumbs or fingertips
Handedge strike (Tegatana ate), Forearm strikes at blocking techniques (Ude uke waza)
