Armpit
[Axilla]
Anatomy:
- The armpit [axilla] designated in the anatomy the area between the shoulder and the chest wall. Armpit means the anatomical space below the shoulder, the front is limited by the pectoralis major, latissimus dorsi muscle from the back and inside of the chest, it lays under the skin. In the armpit are the extensions of the plexus brachial, which stretch along the entire arm.
Attack:
Consequence:
- If pressure or shock, a massive nerve pain (neuralgia) arises.
Comment:
- The armpit is normally covered by clothing in practice.
