[Plexus solaris]
Anatomy:
- The solar plexus [Plexus solaris] is an autonomous network of sympathetic and parasympathetic nerve fibers. The parasympathetic components originate from the Nervus vagus. The solar plexus is formed by the Plexus coeliacus and the Plexus mesentericus superior. It is located at the transition from chest to stomach. More specifically, between the twelfth thoracic and first lumbar vertebrae at the aorta. Here information will be interconnected and transferred that regulate certain functions of internal organs.
Attack:
Consequence:
- Induration of the abdominal muscles, thereby vomiting; low blood pressure thereby undersupply of the brain - fainting; pain; shortness of breath; possibly internal bleeding
Comment:
- The effect is greatly attenuated in accordance with thicker clothing or thicker people, the impact effect is amplified by inhalation through the relaxed muscles.
