Eri jime - collar strangling
TORI grips with the left hand in Uke's right collar, at the height of the carotid artery, the thumb is inside of the collar. The position of the right hand on the left side of the neck of UKE is a mirror image of the same.
The strangulation is performed in two steps:
- First Tori leans all his weight down, which also UKE bend down. He is thus brought out of balance. The heads are on the side close to each other.
- TORI pulls his hands very strong together, the wrists, forearms and elbows, move to another, and cause on the neck of UKE a scissors-like movement. The collar is located between the thumb and forefinger, by rotating the hands towards the neck, with the help of the fingers, strong pressure on both carotid arteries be exercised, during TORI pushes up his two hands.
