Defense by using throwing techniques

The throwing techniques shown here relate to the teaching system of Mikinosuke Kawaishi (1899-1969). The classification also takes place as in the classical Gokyo-no-kaisetsu of the Kodokan into 5 groups, however, with a total of 60 throwing techniques.

The presented throwing techniques include a small selection of throws, which are relevant within the Ju jutsu. If you are interested in the complete system of the throwing system of Mikinosuke Kawaishi have a look at the website, www.judotechnik.eu, here you can find all techniques with detailed illustrations and textual descriptions.

The division of the throwing system groups are Ashi waza (Foot/leg throws), Koshi waza (Hip throws), Te waza (Hand throws), in which group the Kata waza (Shoulder throws) are integrated, and Sutemi waza (Sacrifice throws).
